A node has no public IP. It sits on your network, joins the lead, and runs the work you assign in the admin site.
Before you start
- The lead is installed and you can sign in to the admin site.
- This computer can reach the lead on the local network.
- You know the lead’s local IP, for example 192.168.1.54.
- The same installer as the lead (Download above).
Download the installer above, then:
Install
- On the new computer, run Setup.exe as administrator.
- Uncheck Install the control plane. The admin site already exists on the lead.
- Select Node.
- In Lead address, enter http://LEAD-IP:7443. Replace LEAD-IP with the lead’s local address. Example: http://192.168.1.54:7443.
- Click Install.
- Setup opens the admin site. Sign in with the same Daisinet email you used on the lead.
You do not paste a join token. After install, sign in. That is what adds this machine to the cluster.
Confirm it joined
- Open the admin site → Nodes.
- The new machine should appear. Health should become Ready within a minute.
- If it stays missing, check that this computer can open http://LEAD-IP:7443 and that Windows Firewall on the lead allows port 7443 from the LAN.
What the node needs on the network
| Direction | Port | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Node → lead | 7443 | This computer to the lead, on the LAN only. |
| Lead → node | 7480 | The lead sending site traffic to this computer, on the LAN only. |
Do not forward 7443 or 7480 to the internet.
